Labor Day has come and gone which means that summer has officially ended in an unofficial way. (Look at the calendar, people. Summer is still going strong!) And to celebrate the end of warm days spent at the beach or lying lazily on hammocks daydreaming the hours away, we are going out with a bang; a colorful burst of electricity synonymous with the lively, energy-filled months we, for some reason or another, will always remember. Take a look at these incredible images by photographer David Johnson. By utilizing a long exposure, 4th of July fireworks become a kaleidoscope of wildflowers or a blaze of hypnotic color. Visit Johnson’s site to view more of his work, including his entire series of long exposure photographs.
