Top 10 Friday : May 25, 2012

As promised, here’s this Friday’s top 10 list in lieu of the regular top 5 because I have neglected the blog all week long. Many apologies!
Daniel Craig is back as 007 in the newest Bond installment, Sky Fall and he still looks remarkable in a well-tailored suit. The film hits theaters November 9th.

Goodbye Kristen Wiig! What a wonderful seven years it has been. Enjoy the opening skit from the season finale of SNL. Finally a happy ending for Junice!

3. It’s Chewbacca! Made from splattered paint. By Arian Noveir. And you can buy it too!

Oh damn! Ron Burgundy and the gang (Brick Tamland, Brian Fantana and Champ Kind) are back with Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. And according to Brick, the sharpest tool in the shed, they play witches! The movie comes out sometime in 2013. Stay tuned.

Baz Luhrmann’s newest feature, The Great Gatsby, arrives in theaters in 3D. So that means a lot of fringe and jazz hands popping out the screen.

The psychedelic pour paintings courtesy of artist Holton Rower will have you mesmerized, especially if you love color.

Have you ever wondered what a typical day would be like in backwards motion? Ryan Jay did and then he made this video of San Francisco.

8. Chinese artist Wang Zhiyuan created this installation called ‘Thrown to the Wind’, a 36 foot tall tornado constructed from plastic garbage.

Analog motion graphics artist Afiq Omar directs this animation video of ferrofluids, liquids that becomes strongly magnetized when in the presence of a magnetic field (I had to look that up).

Division, a experimental video by Dutch artist, Johan Rijpma, was constructed by a piece of paper torn, photographed, torn again and repeated innumerous times.
